Graffiti - Color the World

Graffiti is the act of drawing on or painting on a wall or similar surface.  To some, graffiti is viewed as defacing public property but to others, it is a work of art. The act of graffiti can be very dangerous. Graffiti is sometime the subject of gang related issues. Fights have broken out when rival gangs claim a location to paint or paint over a gang’s existing graffiti. Occasionally, such gang squabbles will actual lead to murder. Sometimes, it is not gangs that pose a danger as much as the location of the graffiti. Whether it is on the side of a train, building, or even in the middle of a busy street, there is always a risk of something happening. Those who climb buildings have a chance to fall and those who work on a train or street have a chance or being hit. Whatever the location, there is always the risk of being caught. Those who are caught have a chance of being arrested. However, even with all the risk, Graffiti continues to survive. It is a way to express oneself in a creative and artistic way. It can act as an escape from everyday life and can be used as a way to get your name out to the public.  The styles of graffiti are constantly changing. New techniques are sprouting up from many different locations. Even against the many threats, graffiti still manages to exist today in not just one location, but all over the world. Graffiti truly makes the world colorful.
